A QB isnt so efficient if he is standing (or laying) on the sideline. Brett Favre's career Adj Net Yds Per Attempt is 5.5. Chad Pennington's is...also 5.5. <BR/><BR/>There are other considerations, but it's not a huge upgrade for the Jets by any stretch. They are not "instant" contenders, at least just because of Favre. But they are likely to be better than last year, for many other reasons, if only because it's really hard to do worse than 4-12.
